I really appreciate your reflections, Chris. Our family didn’t participate in any synod sessions because they happened so soon after we moved, and seemed to be advertised to get perspectives on topics in particular parish settings. As we yet don’t have a parish “home,” we couldn’t really contribute in this way, but we would have valued the opportunity to participate as relative newcomers with outside perspectives on local parish culture, vice views on existing parish experiences.

That's important feedback! I also think there's a key group of Catholics who don't have a parish "home" currently, for a variety of reasons. And it could have been helpful to have an opportunity for them to engage

Thanks! I didn't really intend a "takedown." I just wanted to highlight some key missed opportunities and ways various Catholics received portions of the videos. I was able to have a conversation with someone from the Archdiocese who took my concerns well. But I'm not sure how/whether my feedback has made its way back to the leadership for the Synod

Let’s hope the archbishop is listening. I thought Hebda was a better pick than Nienstedt, and Hebda seems to be more of a Pope Francis bishop.
